There might be rare cases where you might need to be formal, for example if you were invited to a formal occasion on Valentine’s Day. If the dress code is formal, go in a suit or tuxedo.

Very traditional and predictable the French white shirt is, I must add; why not re-invent your style by wearing a pink or navy blue dress shirt? Ensure your cuff links are classy ones.
